Gateway checklist
A gateway must fulfill the following conditions in order to send its data directly to the Asset Performance Platform:
| Prerequisites for the gateway |

| must be able to connect to any MQTT broker at the internet. |
| Must support a secure connection to the broker at port 8883. |
| The topic to which the message is sent must be freely adjustable. |
| The data points must be JSON formatted and Sparkplug B compliant. What does it mean? |
If all requirements are fulfilled, this gateway can directly connected to the broker of the Asset Performance Platform.
