In this section you can read more about our Infrastructure Modules.

Identity Access Management

The Identity Access Management module ensures that only those who are authenticated and authorized are granted access.

User Management

The User Management module allows you to manage the users within your tenant. The User Management helps to maintain clear management of users, roles, and access rights.

With the User Management, the admin can:

  • View user count (overall, active, pending, disabled)
  • Create groups and subgroups
  • Assign users to groups and subgroups
  • Filter users by groups and by role-admin or user
  • Create, add, edit, disable users
  • View user profiles
  • Send invitations
  • Approve or deny registration requests
  • Manage and assign roles (admin, user)
  • Manage pending registrations
  • Manage user profiles
  • Store user details
  • Choose notification severity (critical, alarming, harmless)

Profile of the logged user is also displayed on clicking the right-hand settings buttons. Password and other user details can be edited by the user from here.

The User Management can be customized as per customer requirements.

Dashboard

The Dashboard provides an overview of your assets. It allows you to visualize your data and derive business insights. Some of the information that can be viewed on the dashboard include

  • number of machines and components
  • number of (unresolved) incidents (incidents<24 hrs., incidents>24 hrs., critical incidents)
  • device location (viewable on an interactive map)
  • device health

The Dashboard can be designed individually according to customer needs.

Integration Layer

The Integration Layer handles the complexity of integrating external services with our assets360 ecosystem. It acts as a single point of communication for all surrounding systems, hence reducing the number of point-to-point interfaces, and handles routing and transformation of data between the integrated services. This module comes with a wide range of standard connectors for integrating standard software systems like Salesforce or SAP. The Integration Layer is also highly extendable via custom connectors that connect to any third-party system (e.g. to retrieve like data from third-party device clouds - see the Connector Module section for more information). We use Apache Camel, open source technology as the basis for the Integration Layer.

The integration layer requires the Identity Access Management module to ensure the integration route is secured.

Notifications

The Notification module is used for the management and delivery of notifications (e.g. via phone, email, Customer Portal).

Data Lake

The Data Lake is a storage repository to hold large amounts of data. It can be connected to the Integration Layer module to bring in data from various sources including other Application modules or directly from the device or edge gateway.

Item Assignment

The Item Assignment module handles the assignment of any type of item (ticket, task, case) to a user, set of users, or group.

Asset Administration Shell (AAS)

The Asset Administration Shell (AAS), a key concept of Industry 4.0, is used to describe an asset electronically in a standardized manner. Its purpose is to exchange asset-related data among industrial assets and between assets and production orchestration systems or engineering tools (The I4.0 Asset Administration Shell| ARC Advisory).

The Asset Administration Shell can be used with our Machine File module, whereby the AAS provides up-to-date, relevant, and standardized asset-related data to build and prefill the machine tree.
